Private-property fiber infrastructure / British Virgin Islands
Fiber-to-the-Room (FTTR) & Fiber-to-the-Premises (FTTP)
A coordinated fiber foundation for luxury resorts, hotels, villas, apartment developments and large residential estates. MicroAntix plans, installs and integrates optical networks that connect the property, from the central distribution point to the spaces where people stay, work and live.
One property. Many connected spaces.
Plan the complete optical path, not just the repair.
General fiber repair restores a link. FTTR and FTTP design considers the entire distribution system: equipment location, feeder routes, splitter placement, room connections, active electronics and the services each endpoint must support.
For this service, FTTR brings fiber distribution to individual rooms; FTTP connects separate buildings or premises within the agreed private development. We define the exact handoff and ownership boundaries during the survey.
Core and OLT
Upstream connectivity, equipment capacity, power and management.
Frames and splitters
Protected, labeled paths with a calculated optical budget.
Room and villa fiber
Planned routes, termination locations and endpoint access.
ONT and local services
Compatible handoffs to Wi-Fi, IPTV and approved building applications.
Design. Install. Integrate. Verify.
One optical network.
Every connection considered.
From the equipment room to the guest room, each stage is designed around the property, the applications and a documented standard of acceptance.
GPON / XGS-PON architecture
We assess room counts, service demand, routes, available power and future phases before selecting a passive optical network architecture. Split ratios, feeder capacity and endpoint requirements are coordinated with the chosen optical line terminal (OLT) and optical network terminals (ONTs).
Active equipment integration is subject to verified OLT/ONT interoperability, firmware, licensing, optics and the agreed management platform; devices are not assumed interchangeable.
02Distribution frames and terminal boxes
Optical distribution frames, splice trays, patching and terminal boxes create a maintainable path from the central equipment room to each building and room. Enclosures and cable protection are selected for their location, access and environmental exposure.
Deliverables include termination schedules, fiber identification, protected splice management and accessible patching positions.
03Optical splitter installation
We position and install compatible passive splitters around the agreed topology, distribution distances and maintenance access. Every branch is included in the loss calculation rather than choosing a split ratio from room count alone.
Splitter ratios, locations, connector types and branch assignments are recorded in the as-built documentation.
04Dedicated fiber routes to rooms and villas
We plan individual fiber drops for hotel rooms, villas, apartments and estate buildings, coordinating pathways and access with construction or property teams. Installation is phased around occupied spaces and agreed disruption windows.
The fiber route and endpoint are dedicated to the location; PON capacity is shared according to the architecture and configured service profile.
05Guest internet, IPTV and building services
Compatible room-side equipment can hand off services to Wi-Fi access points, wired devices and IPTV systems. Network segmentation, multicast requirements and building-system interfaces are reviewed with the relevant platform providers.
Fiber delivery does not replace Wi-Fi coverage design, endpoint power, subscriptions or the upstream internet connection. Life-safety systems require separate specialist approval.
06Optical budgets and acceptance testing
We calculate anticipated losses across fiber, splices, connectors and splitters, including an appropriate design margin against equipment specifications. Commissioning checks the installed optical path and agreed service performance.
Acceptance records may include connector inspection, loss and optical-power measurements, suitable OTDR testing, endpoint checks and results against agreed criteria.
07PON troubleshooting and lifecycle support
We investigate degraded power levels, contaminated connectors, damaged fiber, splitter-path faults, ONT registration and configuration issues. Testing is planned for the installed PON and avoids unsafe or unsuitable live-network procedures.
Support can include documented fault isolation, corrective work, retesting, configuration backups, monitoring and planned maintenance under an agreed service scope.
Defined scope. Compatible equipment. Documented acceptance.
Fiber cabling / Video
A closer look at the infrastructure.
Explore the supplied fiber cabling footage alongside the design principles that guide a maintainable property network: protected routes, organized distribution and connections that can be identified, tested and supported.
A completed FTTR project adds a documented topology, compatible electronics and acceptance results to the physical cabling installation.
A planned transition
From site assessment to a documented handover.
For new developments, we coordinate with design and construction teams before routes are closed. For operating resorts and residences, we plan access, installation phases and cutovers around the property’s schedule.
Existing infrastructure is assessed for reuse. We do not assume every fiber route, connector or active device will support a new PON design.
- Survey and requirements: room and building counts, applications, routes, power, access and future expansion.
- Design package: topology, optical budgets, equipment compatibility, distribution and termination schedules.
- Installation and integration: pathways, splitters, fiber drops, active equipment and agreed service configuration.
- Acceptance and handover: test results, as-built records, labeling, administrative access and operating guidance.
- Ongoing support: an agreed monitoring, maintenance, firmware and escalation plan.

Clear scope and accountability
Private infrastructure, with defined network boundaries.
MicroAntix’s proposed scope is the design, installation and support of private premises infrastructure for the property owner or operator. An upstream internet service, public-network operation, spectrum authorization, public rights-of-way and third-party permissions are not automatically included.
Projects that involve providing telecommunications services to the public, extending beyond private property or operating regulated facilities require a separate regulatory review. Confirm any applicable BVI requirements with the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission and qualified advisers before committing to that scope. This page is not a determination that a particular project is exempt from licensing.
Before you begin
Answers for property owners and operators.
How is this different from general fiber repair?
FTTR and FTTP projects address the complete distribution architecture, compatible electronics, service handoffs and acceptance criteria. Repair work focuses on restoring or improving an existing optical link.
Should we choose GPON or XGS-PON?
The decision depends on demand, concurrent use, growth, equipment compatibility and budget. We compare options against the property requirements; technology headline rates are not guaranteed per-room internet speeds.
Will fiber fix every guest Wi-Fi problem?
No. Fiber provides the distribution path. Access-point placement, radio coverage, endpoint capability, network configuration and upstream internet capacity still need to be designed and tested.
Can installation take place in an occupied resort?
A phased approach may be possible after a survey. Access windows, routes, room availability, testing and cutover plans are agreed with the property team to manage disruption.
What should we provide for a quotation?
Share the property location, plans if available, room and building counts, existing network information, required services and intended project timeline. A site assessment confirms the scope.
Can you maintain the system after handover?
Yes. We can scope monitoring, fault response, firmware review, configuration management and preventive maintenance. Coverage hours, exclusions and response arrangements are agreed separately.
