Modern conference room with integrated audio and video equipment

MicroAntix / British Virgin Islands

Audio and Video Cabling

Professional signal infrastructure for clearer sound, dependable displays and connected spaces. From discreet residential pre-wiring to boardrooms and hospitality properties, we plan the connections behind the experience.

Plan your AV cabling

Designed before the walls close

Good AV starts behind the scenes.

A display or speaker is only one part of a working system. Cable type, routing, connector quality, distance and access for maintenance all affect the result. MicroAntix develops a practical cabling plan around the equipment, room layout and intended use.

We coordinate with owners, IT teams, designers and other contractors to identify connection points, reserve equipment space and sequence first-fix and final installation work. For existing rooms, we assess available pathways and make the options clear before installation begins.

A complete connection plan

Cabling services from source to screen and speaker.

Speaker and audio wiring

Cabling for background music, distributed sound and room audio, planned around amplifier locations, speaker zones and the selected equipment.

Scope of work
  • Speaker cable routes and appropriate conductor selection
  • Line-level and balanced audio connections where specified
  • Labelled zones, wall plates and maintainable termination points

Display and video connections

Signal routes for televisions, projectors, presentation screens and digital signage, with the source and destination considered together.

Scope of work
  • HDMI and compatible signal-extension cabling
  • Cable selection for the agreed video format and distance
  • Accessible connections, display recesses and equipment locations

Meeting and conferencing rooms

Organized connectivity for presentations, video calls and shared workspaces, supporting the chosen conferencing platform and room equipment.

Scope of work
  • Table, wall and floor connection locations
  • Camera, microphone, USB and display connection planning
  • Service access for future upgrades and troubleshooting

Long-distance signal distribution

Where direct connections are unsuitable, we design around compatible extension equipment and the actual link requirements.

Scope of work
  • HDBaseT or fiber-based extension where appropriate
  • Category cable requirements matched to selected extenders
  • Source, receiver and display compatibility checks

Control and AV-over-IP links

Cabling for control interfaces and network-connected AV equipment, coordinated with the wider IT network rather than treated as an isolated system.

Scope of work
  • Control panels and equipment communication links
  • Network outlets for AV endpoints and controllers
  • Coordination of switch, power and network configuration requirements

Testing and corrective work

Trace existing links, resolve connection problems and improve cable identification so equipment changes are easier to manage.

Scope of work
  • Continuity, termination and signal-path checks
  • Functional checks using the agreed source and destination devices
  • Cable schedules, labels and agreed handover records

Built around your environment

Different spaces. One coordinated approach.

Homes and villas

Plan television positions, distributed audio zones and equipment cupboards before finishes are complete. We consider discreet cable routes, room-to-room connectivity and practical access for replacement equipment.

Offices and meeting rooms

Support predictable presentation and conferencing workflows with clearly identified connections. Table positions, furniture, cable protection and future changes are coordinated with the room layout.

Hotels, resorts and commercial spaces

Coordinate cabling for guest areas, meeting facilities, signage and background audio. Installation phases are planned around access, occupied spaces and the operating priorities of the property.

From brief to handover

Decisions documented. Connections verified.

We start with the signal flow, not an assumption that one cable type will serve every device. Your agreed scope sets out the equipment interfaces, installation responsibilities, test expectations and handover requirements.

Designed for BVI properties

Access, transport, occupied rooms and building conditions shape the installation schedule. Outdoor or exposed routes need suitable cable and protection. We coordinate the approach for Tortola, Virgin Gorda and other BVI locations.

Survey and define

Review room use, source devices, displays, speakers, distances and existing pathways. Identify constraints before agreeing the scope.

Route and prepare

Coordinate containment, pull paths, equipment locations and access with other trades. Confirm cable specifications and termination schedules.

Install and identify

Route cables with appropriate protection and handling, provide service access and identify both ends to match the connection plan.

Test and hand over

Verify the agreed signal paths, review operation with the selected equipment and provide labels, schedules and installation notes included in the project.

Can you pre-wire before equipment is selected?

Yes. We can develop a provisional infrastructure plan, but final cable and connector choices depend on the intended equipment. Conduit, accessible routes and spare capacity can help accommodate later decisions.

Can you reuse existing cabling?

We inspect the route, cable type, condition and termination, then test suitability for the intended signal. Reuse is recommended only when the existing link meets the agreed requirements.

Does one HDMI or category cable work for every installation?

No. Distance, bandwidth, equipment interfaces and extension technology must be reviewed together. We confirm the selected equipment requirements rather than promise universal compatibility.

Is AV cabling the same as network cabling?

Some AV systems use category cabling or IP networking, but their signal, power and configuration requirements differ. We coordinate both disciplines and document which connections serve each system.

Can you work while a property is operating?

We agree access, work zones and any required service interruptions with the property team. The schedule reflects occupied rooms, guest areas and business priorities.
