Illustrative security environment

Beyond installation

Security systems need ongoing attention.

An installed camera or card reader is only part of the picture. Recording failures, storage limits, outdated firmware and old employee credentials can undermine day-to-day reliability. MicroAntix provides a structured service to identify issues and keep approved changes organized.

Visibility

Understand system condition

Know which devices are working, which faults need attention and what the next maintenance priorities are.

Control

Manage access responsibly

Keep permissions and physical credentials aligned with current employees, contractors and authorized users.

Accountability

Maintain a clear record

Receive documented findings, completed actions and recommendations through a defined service relationship.

Eleven areas of support

A complete maintenance view.

Select a category to explore the work available. Your agreement defines the covered assets, frequency, supported platforms and included services.

11 services

Monthly camera health monitoring

Scheduled health reviews help identify cameras that are unavailable, poorly positioned or no longer delivering a useful image. We check supported device status and review agreed image and recording samples so faults can be documented and prioritized.

  • Camera inventory and availability review
  • Image quality and time-setting checks
  • Findings and recommended corrective work

Camera offline alerts

Where the platform supports it, we configure offline notifications for selected cameras and establish an escalation route. Alert timing depends on the system, connectivity and the agreed monitoring arrangement.

  • Supported device-offline notifications
  • Named recipients and escalation contacts
  • Connectivity and power fault investigation

NVR storage monitoring

We review recorder storage use, recording schedules and available capacity against the agreed retention objective. Changes in camera count, resolution or activity can affect how much footage is retained.

  • Capacity and recording-status review
  • Retention and overwrite-setting checks
  • Expansion recommendations where needed

Hard-drive health monitoring

Supported drive-health indicators and recorder warnings are reviewed for signs of deterioration. We flag replacement needs and coordinate approved work; health checks cannot predict every drive failure or guarantee footage recovery.

  • Available health and error indicators
  • Disk and recording fault review
  • Replacement planning and authorization

Firmware management

We assess relevant firmware releases for compatibility and security, plan suitable maintenance windows and apply approved updates to supported devices. Configuration backups and rollback options are considered where the platform permits.

  • Version and support-status inventory
  • Compatibility review and change scheduling
  • Post-update operation checks

Camera password & security management

We help keep administrative access controlled through appropriate account permissions, credential changes and supported security settings. Shared or former-user access is reviewed with your authorized contacts.

  • Unique accounts and least-privilege access
  • Secure credential handover and rotation
  • Supported MFA and remote-access review

Remote troubleshooting

Authorized remote diagnostics can help investigate unavailable cameras, recorder warnings and access-control faults. We check the relevant network, power and device information, then explain when an on-site visit or replacement is required.

  • Approved remote diagnostic access
  • Fault isolation and documented actions
  • Escalation when remote resolution is unsuitable

Access-control database management

We maintain supported access-control records in line with your approved instructions. Access groups, schedules and device associations are kept organized, with change records and configuration backups where supported.

  • Access groups and schedule administration
  • Authorized changes and audit records
  • Database/configuration backup review

Employee card/fob additions & removals

Joiner, mover and leaver requests are processed through designated company contacts. We enroll or deactivate supported credentials, assign the approved access group and document the change.

  • Approved employee credential requests
  • Lost-card and departed-user deactivation
  • Access assignment and validation

Monthly system reports

A concise monthly report brings together the checks completed, faults found, changes made and actions still outstanding. It gives property managers and business owners a practical basis for maintenance decisions.

  • Health summary and incident status
  • Changes, maintenance and unresolved items
  • Prioritized recommendations and next steps

Preventive maintenance visits

Scheduled site visits address the physical conditions that remote checks cannot resolve. The agreed scope may include accessible camera cleaning, mounting and enclosure checks, cable inspection and functional tests.

  • Agreed visit schedule and site access
  • Physical inspection and suitable cleaning
  • Functional tests and service notes

Defined scope. Clear responsibilities.

A plan built around your installed systems.

We start with an inventory of the cameras, recorders, drives, controllers and access devices you want covered. We assess compatibility, access requirements and existing faults before agreeing the service scope.

For offices, shops, villas, hospitality properties and multi-site organizations, the plan should reflect operating hours, connectivity, staffing and site access across the BVI.

Arrange an assessment

Frequency & response

Monthly reviews, alert handling, support hours and target response arrangements are agreed in writing. Scheduled checks do not imply continuous monitoring.

Authorization & privacy

Only designated contacts can authorize changes. Remote access and any review of recordings are limited to the approved maintenance purpose and your agreed permissions.

Visits, parts & subscriptions

The agreement identifies included visits and remote work, together with any separately quoted replacement parts, licenses, travel or remedial installation.

A repeatable service cycle

Assess. Maintain. Report. Improve.

Establish the baseline

Inventory covered devices, confirm authorized contacts and document current faults, access and service expectations.

Review & maintain

Carry out scheduled checks, investigate supported alerts and complete approved maintenance or user changes.

Report the position

Summarize completed work, system condition, unresolved faults and recommendations in the monthly report.

Plan the next step

Prioritize replacements, capacity changes or site visits with the person responsible for your property.

Service distinction: This service maintains physical security technology. It does not automatically include live observation of camera feeds, staffed alarm response, emergency dispatch or cybersecurity incident monitoring. Any additional arrangement must be explicitly agreed.

Common questions

Know what your plan covers.

Clear scope and documented authorization make ongoing security maintenance easier to manage.

Can you maintain systems installed by another provider?

We can assess an existing installation before accepting it into a plan. Coverage depends on supported equipment, usable administrative access, licensing and the condition of the system. Existing faults or unsupported devices may require separate remedial work.

Are the cameras watched continuously?

No. System-health monitoring and maintenance are different from live surveillance. The agreement specifies check frequency, alert handling and support hours; it should not be interpreted as continuous observation of people or events.

How are employee cards and fobs changed?

Your designated contact submits an authorized request identifying the user, credential and permitted access. We apply the approved change and record the outcome. Lost credentials and leavers should be reported promptly through the agreed contact route.

Will monitoring prevent loss of recordings?

No system can guarantee that footage will always be available. Storage and drive reviews help identify risks, but recording also depends on power, network connectivity, hardware and configuration. Retention objectives and recovery options are reviewed separately.

What is included in a monthly report?

The report summarizes the agreed checks, relevant faults, completed changes, outstanding work and practical recommendations. The exact detail depends on the platforms and devices included in your service plan.

Are preventive visits and replacement equipment included?

The service agreement sets the visit frequency and included activities. Replacement equipment, subscriptions, travel and remedial works are identified as included or separately chargeable before work is approved.
